As a large senior secondary college we are able to offer a broad and diverse curriculum which allows our students to structure their learning program to suit individual needs. Our courses include strong academic programs, nationally recognised vocational educational programs, cultural and sporting programs. Highly skilled and specialist teachers teach our courses in the many specialist facilities.

Hawker is a student centred college environment and our students are encouraged to take up some of the many opportunities offered to participate in extra-curricular activities. Our college community have high expectations of our students in performance, attendance and behaviour and our excellent results in all these areas are a reflection of our commitment. To ensure that our students reach their full potential we provide extensive student support services that focus on course and careers planning and student welfare support.

Our teachers are involved in further professional development projects using the ACT Quality Teaching Model applied in the context of our college learning environment.  The college will continue strong link projects with the Hawker Collegiate Schools as well as collaboration with Belconnen Network of schools across P-12 years.
